What Are Some of the Barriers to Becoming a Lawyer?
Let's first take a moment to look at how the traditional method of becoming a lawyer really works. Becoming a lawyer in the United States normally requires following a rigid path with many barriers that are placed in your way. If you fail to get by just one of these barriers, you are OUT of the game! And there are so many barriers….
You must:
Obtain a bachelor's degree
Have a high Grade Point Average (GPA)
Score very high on the Law School Admission Test (LSAT)
Make it through the law school's admissions' committee
Pay huge tuition fees (as high as $25,000.00 to $35,000.00 per year)
Attend an American Bar Association (ABA) law school
Pass the bar examination
How Do These Barriers Kill Your Dream?
Traditional Law Schools Won't Give You a Second Chance!
It may be true that you are more qualified than your past record indicates. Maybe you've since buckled down and are now ready to take on the challenge of law school…but why should an ABA-approved law school believe you or take a chance on you? The LSAT
This is a brutal exam that is testing some particular skill level-exactly what, I really don't know, but it is testing something, I suppose. I doubt that the LSAT is really a good indicator of one's skills as a law student or even as a lawyer, and while the exam has long been criticized as being an artificial barrier, the fact remains that without a high LSAT score you have little hope of getting into an ABA-approved law school.
Some of the brightest people around don't do well on this type of exam-but no traditional law school will even look at them.

What if you get past all the other hurdles, but just can't follow a rigid class schedule? I'll tell you, you're out of luck! If you don't make it to enough classes, you're dropped from law school-but you'll still have to pay your huge tuition bill. Let's talk about the American Bar Association (ABA)
The ABA is organization that sets high standards of legal education for U.S. law schools that voluntarily wish to follow their guidelines. The schools that apply to and meet with the ABA's exacting standards are granted the esteemed status of being an ABA-approved law school. The Bar Exam
By the way,
to begin practicing law you will need to pass a bar exam. So, you’re probably
